(Margot McIlwain Nishimura holds a PhD in art history, with a specialization in medieval and Renaissance manuscripts, from the Institute of Fine Arts at New York University, and a B.A. from Smith College, also in Art History. She has taught at the University of Cape Town, Smith College, Mt. Holyoke College, Brown University, and the Rhode Island School of Design. From 2011 to 2014, she was Deputy Director and Librarian of the John Carter Brown Library at Brown University, and since December 2014 has served as the Deputy Director for Collections, Programs, and Public Engagement at the Newport Restoration Foundation (NRF), which was founded in 1968 by the philanthropist Doris Duke.) http://nyu.academia.edu/MargotNishimura
